The Sparks Street Mall is easily accessible
from all areas of the city. Whether you are coming down for
dinner, to shop or to just stroll the mall, there is a mode of
transportation for you. Drive your car, there is able parking,
take public transit, it's very handy, hop a cab, they know the
city, ride your bike or walk, and enjoy the outdoors.
Whatever your mode of transportation you will find
getting
around the city is easy.
Parking Information
World Exchange
Plaza has free parking on the weekends. In addition the metered
spaces around and about, they are free after 5:30pm on weekdays
and on weekends.
There is also
paid parking available at 240 Sparks, Place de Ville and The
National Arts Centre.
Driving Directions
From Ottawa International
Airport
From Ottawa’s International Airport exit
on Airport Parkway. Go 5.5 KM. Turn right on Walkley Road. Go.
0.5 KM. Turn left on Bank Street. Go 1.0 KM. Continue on Bank
for 2.4 KM. Turn right on Queen Elizabeth Drive and travel 1.9
KM to Elgin Street. Travel north Elgin for 1.6 KM and you will
arrive at the east end of the Sparks Street Mall.
From the west Highway 417 (Queensway)
and Highway 416
Travel east on Highway 417 (Queensway)
You will pass through the west end of the city. Exit Highway
416 (Queensway) at Kent Street. Go North on Kent Street to
Queen Street. Go east for 4 blocks to Elgin. Turn right and
you have arrived at the east end of the Sparks Street Mall.
From the east
Starting at St. Laurent Blvd. head west along Highway 417 (Queensway) for
approximately 2.9 KM. Take the Nicholas Street / Mann Avenue
exit toward Hull, Quebec. Go 0.2 KM. Continue toward Nicholas
for 0.8 KM. Turn left on Laurier Avenue East and go 0.2 KM.
Laurier Avenue East becomes Laurier West. Go 0.5 KM.
Turn right on Metcalfe Street and go for 0.5 KM. You
will arrive at Wellington Street. Turn right (west) to head to
Elgin
Street. Then on Elgin turn right (south) and you have arrive at
the east end of the Sparks Street Mall
